so damn...

Do you ever find it unbelievably frustrating that as humans, we can send a man to the moon, but we can’t accept homosexuality? That we can collide particles at near light speed and successfully create anti-matter, but still fight religious intolerance induced wars every day? That we can call anywhere in the world at anytime from a tiny piece of metal in our pocket, but still kill each other for love, money and power? That disease and poverty and corruption invade countries all over the world and all we hear about is fuckin global warming, swine flu and Michael Jackson?

People seem to think that we can still progress as a species, or even as individuals in spite of these problems.

Humanity will hit a glass ceiling one day if these issues continue to be ignored.

And yeah, I find it incredibly frustrating that tiny, far less significant things take precedence over important things, as though things don't exist as long as we don't talk about them.

But you must remember that the motives behind our great accomplishments and our great faults are often the same. People want power, fame, and money. Arrogance is everywhere. We do many amazing things without pure intentions, and we do bad things with great intentions.

How does the saying go exactly? Something like, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions".

if you happen to be a billionaire...
